Get in Touch

If you have questions about the Struggling Readers Program, want help choosing the right course, or need more information before enrolling, you are in the right place.

This program was built by a teacher, for teachers. Questions are always welcome.

For Teachers Considering the Program

Teaching struggling readers comes with a lot of thoughtful questions. These frequently asked questions address the most common things teachers ask when considering this program, from who it is for to how it fits into real classroom practice.

If you don't see your question here, you are always welcome to reach out through our contact form below for more specific support.

Who is this program for?

This program is designed for teachers working with students in grades 2–6 who continue to struggle with reading. It is especially helpful if you work with students who have received intervention but are still not making expected progress.

Is this program appropriate for older struggling readers?

Yes. The courses focus on the instructional gaps that often persist beyond early grades. The content is intentionally designed to address the needs of older elementary students who still require explicit instruction in foundational reading skills.

Do I need to take the courses in a specific order?

Each course focuses on a core component of reading and can stand on its own. However, the courses are designed to work together. Many teachers choose to start with the area where their students show the greatest need, then build from there.

Does this count as professional learning?

Many teachers use the program as professional learning. If you need documentation or confirmation of completion, please reach out through the contact form to discuss options.

Is this program research-based?

Yes. The program is grounded in reading science and informed by current research, professional learning, and real classroom experience. The focus is on helping you understand why students struggle and how instruction can address those difficulties effectively.

Will this give me ready-to-use strategies?

Yes, but strategies are always grounded in understanding. The courses focus on helping you make informed instructional decisions so strategies are purposeful, not scripted or disconnected from student need.

How long will I have access to the course?

Once enrolled, you will have ongoing access to the course content, allowing you to return to lessons, revisit key concepts, and reflect on the material as your understanding deepens or as new instructional questions arise.

How long does each course take to complete?

Each course is self-paced. Most teachers complete a course in a few hours, but you can move through the content at a pace that fits your schedule. You can pause and return at any time.

Can schools or districts purchase access for multiple teachers?

Yes. Group or school-level access can be arranged. Use the contact form to inquire about options for teams, schools, or districts.

What if I am unsure which course to start with?

You are welcome to reach out through the contact page and share a bit about your students and teaching context. I am happy to help you decide where to begin.

Is this suitable for classroom teachers, intervention teachers, or specialists?

Classroom teachers, interventionists, literacy leads, and special education teachers all find value in the program. The content supports a wide range of instructional roles.

A Final Note

Supporting struggling readers is complex work. You do not need another surface-level strategy. This program exists to help you understand what is happening beneath the struggle so your instruction can be more intentional and effective.

I look forward to hearing from you.
